Before work
Starting point
The narrow walkway had sunk toward the house and created uneven transitions at both ends. Mature planting and the front steps were staying, so the removal called for small tools and defined cuts rather than a machine working across the whole entrance.
On site
Work completed
Edges were saw-cut where the walk met the driveway and stoop. The slab was broken in short sections, lifted without levering against the steps, and carried directly to the trailer to keep the public sidewalk and garden clear.
Clean handoff
Result
The route was stripped to a tidy base with straight transitions ready for new concrete or pavers. Soil and decorative stone stayed out of the debris load, and the front entrance remained accessible once each work stage was complete.
