Field report

How the site changed

From the initial site condition to a clean handoff for the next phase.

Before work

Starting point

Weathered lumber, branches, broken planters, bags and old patio pieces had accumulated between the house and shed. The narrow route prevented bin placement beside the pile, so everything had to be carried to the driveway without scraping the brick or fence.

On site

Work completed

Long boards and branches were cut to safe carrying lengths and stacked separately. Bagged waste, metal and reusable outdoor pieces were sorted before loading, and loose soil and leaves were kept out of the trailer wherever practical.

Clean handoff

Result

The path to the shed was reopened and the ground was raked clean from the pavers to the back fence. The permanent shed, fence and landscaping remained, while the accumulated material and tripping hazards were completely removed.

Scope first

Efficient debris removal begins with access, material type, volume and weight. Sorting metal, clean wood, concrete and reusable items before loading can reduce mixed disposal while a protected carry route prevents a cleanup job from causing property damage.

Local conditions

Richmond Hill projects often combine mature landscaping with narrow residential access. Equipment size, debris staging and the surfaces that must remain should be established at the quote stage, along with any municipal requirements that apply to the property.

Permit and approval requirements depend on the property and scope. Confirm them with the appropriate municipality or project professional before work begins.
